Managing lupus during the quarantine.

Dealing with stress-induced #lupus flare ups.

I'm the type of person who internalizes stress unknowingly. Mentally if something is bothering me, I can acknowledge it, accept it, and move on. Unfortunately, my body does not. During this #pandemic, I've gotten laid off with no pay. Applying for unemployment has been a disaster. Witnessing family members struggle with the virus isn't easy. There is nothing I can do to help without catching and or spreading the virus. Watching the news has also raised my stress levels. Stress is slowly creeping and overwhelming my body. I don't like this feeling. I feel fragile, aching joints, random rashes, chronic fatigue, and I feel like I'm a sauna. It is becoming harder to complete thoughts and sentences I'm stuttering like crazy. I can't let this take me down.

I'm a fighter, so I'm trying my best. I pray at night. I try to drink as much water as I can. I've

been taking my vitamins and medication regularly, but I need to do more. I've decided to try harder. I've ordered more #CBD edibles to help calm my stress levels.

I've dedicated time to doing 30 min workouts, including 50 crunches, 50 squats, 45-sec

planks. I will also include stress-reducing yoga poses. To help me

relax, I use lavender, peppermint, tea tree, and eucalyptus oil. I put 6 drops of each oil with warm water into my diffuser.

I've also been eating raw ginger and garlic, as well as lemon-infused water, to get me back up and running.
